From Meryl Ann aka Merlyn: Myla jumping for joy!

Myla in the vortex!  She was VERY happy to get her own little kiddy kitchen, a fabulous bargain scarfed up from
CraigsList by her savvy Gramma Mimi. She jumped so high and so long that her barrettes fell out!

From Tony: Andy, CMT

My dear friend, Andy the parrot loves to massage our cats! This is a pic of him massaging Miss Puss.
He will climb down from his condo (cage), walk over to one of the cats, climb up and start kneading their fur. When he is done he nips an ear, the cat takes off and he goes home.
The cats always seem rather shocked by the whole affair, but once he starts, they enjoy his efforts. That's why he waits till they are sleeping before he climbs on for some shiatsu.
He loves cats. He calls them by name. Miss Puss usually comes when he calls her, she is his favorite. Love, Tony

From Tony: Quincy!

From Tony: Quincy

I have always had a special place in my heart for squirrels.

Our Syb has squirrels who she feeds peanuts too. When she told me that, I thought, I would so love to have a squirrel buddy.

One of the reasons I love our home is that there are lots of squirrels. So over time, a squirrel I named Quincy would come on the balcony and look at me through the window. I started by putting nuts outside the door and he would come every day to eat.

Then as we got used to each other he would come in and get nuts inside the door. Then he chewed a handy opening in the screen and started coming in and taking nuts from my hands.

Now he is so comfortable that he sits on the arms of the chairs and even our laps. We leave a bag of peanuts on the kitchen counter, and he scampers up and gets one. Just today he started burying nuts in the blanket on the couch.

This is such a gift and a delight for me! My life is always listening to my lightly held desires, and making them manifest! Love, Tony

From Tara: Magazine cover men.

Ahhh awareness…the more aware I become, the more I see Law of Attraction is always working.
There really is no escaping it.
One of my favorite affirmations is… “I do everything with the power of FOCUS, the Universe will not give me a partial payment”.  Sometimes, without even asking, the things we focus on show up, effortlessly, into our lives. Here are two examples…
I had a personal training client at The Malibu Gym on Tuesday.  On my way out the door, I stopped to look at all the latest local publications…magazines/newspapers.
It’s something I always do.  On this particular day, I zoned in on the cover of the LA Sports & Fitness magazine. There was a man who looked familiar…I wondered if he was someone I knew or maybe a celebrity.
For some reason I really focused in on his face, then his body, then back to his face. How did I know him, or did I?
I stood there for a good 2 or 3 minutes studying the cover.   Finally, I grabbed the magazine, went to my car and headed home.  Always on my way home, I stop at The Vitamin Barn where I get my organic green juice for the day.
As I walked through the parking lot I noticed a couple of guys getting out of a classic Jeep.  It just looked really cool and FUN so I asked what year it was and we kept talking while we walked into The Vitamin barn together.  They asked if I was a runner.
They are big time marathon runners and they shared a social networking website with me that they had recently started.  They said, “check it out, we’ll go out on a training run together and if you don’t want to run, you can just sit on the beach and watch us run by”.
We introduced ourselves, exchanged names and went on our way.
Later when I went home, I went to www.foreverrunner.com and realized I just didn’t want to go through another social networking web-site set up, I looked for Blue’s last name and looked him up on Facebook.  He was there.
When I looked through his photos, I noticed a familiar photo; it was the photo I had seen on the cover of that magazine a few hours earlier.
There he was!  I thought that was pretty cool…. I had just looked at his picture and met him 10 minutes later.
Okay, that was cool, now brace yourself…
On Friday, as I left the gym, I stopped by the door again to see what was new.
This time I zoned in on The Malibu Times Magazine.
On the cover was Reggie Miller (the famous retired basketball player of The Indiana Pacers).
I really zoned in on it and looked into his eyes…he has some amazing eyes.  He really is a beautiful man to look at.   I looked a little longer then grabbed it, threw it in my car and went on my way.  Of course, as always, I stopped at The Vitamin Barn for my organic green juice.
As I walked in, I noticed ReggieMiller walking in before me…everyone was greeting him as if he was a  regular there.
At this point, though, I had forgotten that I just studied his picture on the cover of the magazine.  He obviously went there regularly…Carlos (behind the counter) lined up all his wellness shots for him without him saying a word.  Some of us around the bar exchanged some small talk and I was on my way.
As I walked out the door, it dawned on me, that for two days in a row now, I had zoned in on the cover photo and manifested that person at The Vitamin Barn.  How’s that for the Law of Attraction?
In the movie, The Secret, Bob Doyle says… “Try it on something small and see if you can make it work on something small.”
I guess this would be an example of Law of Attraction.  It’s not like I said I wanted to meet them, but my vibration really tuned into their photos with an intense focus and feeling, then poof, there they were!
I love the law of attraction and how it works time and time again.  It usually sneaks up from the side or behind and reminds you it is at work and most of the time, we don’t even see it or recognize it.  It just works so effortlessly that most of the time we don’t take credit for it.
I challenge you to BE AWARE and when you least expect it, it will reveal its magnificence!    Until then…enjoy the process!

From Tara: Manifestations

I finally watched the movie, “Milk”.  A few years late, but really glad I saw it.  I’ve been talking about it to several friends, discussing how crazy it is that that phase in history could go down.   Sometimes my sense of empathy is so intense that it’s hard for me to stop feeling about something that really moves me. Anyway, this movie and Sean Penn’s performance was so great and so inspiring!  I have talked about it for days.the-times-of-harvey-milk-1984_xvx_155434
Without going into the whole review of the movie (which I did on my initial posting of this topic), it had such an affect on me.
I wanted to discuss it, ponder it, question it.  Sean Penn did such a great job and I just couldn’t shake the movie out of my mind.
To think there was such a conditional hatred toward homosexuals during those years just baffles my mind.  Anyway, watch the movie if you haven’t seen it.  I swear I’ve been talking about it for weeks and going on and on about the movie and Sean Penn (I’m not a typical fan).
So–yesterday, as I was standing at the front desk of the Malibu Gym…malibugymsteamroomwho walks in the door?  Sean Penn!
He had that familiar intense facial expression and there was no question, Sean Penn was in the house–standing in front of me!SeanPenn
Yes, it’s true, we do get a lot of celebrities at the gym but in my 20 years there, I had never seen Sean Penn.  Manifestations!!!
This is a powerful assurance of our worthiness–just more proof from the Universe that the people and things we are thinking and feeling about come into our reality.
Yes, some would say the fact that he showed up is pure coincidence, I like to think it was my strong vibration that pulled him into my sphere.
On the same day, I experienced yet another magical manifestation.  On Sunday, a few days before this day,  I had gone to an art gallery opening and met an amazingly creative young man.  He takes items that have been thrown out–mostly furniture and books.  He creates and re-purposes them into various pieces–dressers, stools, chests, chairs, etc.
They are so charming and gorgeous (www.onebooktree.com).  He is such a talented artist!
As I was admiring the items, I thought of my former client and friend, Rachel Ashwell.
Rachel is the creator of Shabby Chic.
She does similar things with all of her items, she goes to flea markets and gets shabby items and perks them up –not totally rebuilding them, but it is similar.
She has created a multi-million dollar business doing this.
The more time I spent with Devin, admiring his work, the more I pondered the possibility of introducing this young artist’s work to her, perhaps she could carry some of their items in her local Santa Monica Storefront.  It would be a great boost to their beginnings.
It has been about 3 years since Rachel and I have spoken or seen each other, but on this magical day before heading up the long windy canyon for my mountain bike ride, I stopped to get gas at the 76 station.shabbychicRachelashwell
Who was next to me at the pump?  Rachel Ashwell.  Manifestions!!!
Manifestations are proof from the Universe that you are worthy–that what you’ve been thinking and feeling about really can come into your physical reality.  Simply, manifestations are indications.   I had been thinking and feeling about Rachel Ashwell and Sean Penn a whole lot that week and they showed up.  These are messages for us to pay attention to what we think and feel about,  we just might get it!!!

From Patricia: Carmageddon

"Carmageddon" weekend was fantastic!
One city official said it would be "the mother of all traffic jams."
A European newspaper predicted the entire city of Los Angeles would "grind to a halt."
Happily, all dire predictions turned out to be wrong.
Anticipating gridlock, I left Burbank at 1 pm on Saturday to arrive in Venice Beach by 3 pm.
It took me five minutes to get from Burbank to Hollywood and Highland. The usual thousands of tourists were there, but I kept driving and turned onto Sunset Blvd. By the time I got to Beverly Hills, the street was wide open, only a few cars, so I decided to stay on Sunset.
I drove down Sunset through Beverly Hills, Brentwood and Pacific Palisades. I never take that route to the westside (because it's the roundabout way) but there were so FEW cars out that I had extra time.
I drove past the 405 overpass at the corner of Sepulveda and Sunset---near the Getty Museum. Several people were standing at the overpass, taking photos of the empty freeway.
I ended up on PCH....again, no traffic. So I drove slowly, enjoyed the ocean and eventually found Lincoln Blvd. and my destination--- Nowita Place.
There was hardly any traffic anywhere, even in Venice and Santa Monica.
On the way home, I could have chosen many routes. Again, no traffic. I drove down Washington Blvd. and all of a sudden there was Sepulveda Blvd!
On a whim, I turned left onto Sepulveda and decided to stay on it for as long as I could. The police earlier said they wouldn't allow anyone on Sepulveda if they didn't live in the area.
Well......it was surreal and so much fun! I drove the entire ten miles alongside the CLOSED and deserted 405 freeway. I felt like I had Sepulveda all to myself and I practically did.
At each freeway on-ramp police stood by, making sure no one tried to get onto the 405. I saw a few construction workers and I saw the Mulholland Bridge, which was half torn-down. I also saw several TV news vans on the other side of the freeway. And there were helicopters above me.
But the entire time it was just incredible. No traffic, no gridlock, no people---nothing!
Even at the Skirball Center, there were no cars.
Apparently nearly everyone stayed home or they stayed in their neighborhoods.
It was really fun driving alongside a totally empty 405.
Whenever "Carmageddon" is mentioned in the future, I'll remember how I drove ten miles next to the vacant freeway, instead of staying home like everyone else....!!!

From Patricia: An Encounter

Many wonderful metaphysical writers of the 20th century lived in Los Angeles. Ernest Holmes, who created Religious Science, lived in Palms and Venice Beach for many years. I've driven by his former house on Lorraine St. in Hancock Park., not far from his "Founders Church."
Another favorite of mine, Dr. Joseph Murphy, lived in Beverly Hills off Robertson and Olympic, and I've seen his house. And Neville Goddard (who preferred being called "Neville") lived in the Pico area a block from Beverly Hills.
Murphy and Neville lectured weekly at the Wilshire Ebell Theater throughout the 1960's and early 1970's---Neville on Wednesday nights and Murphy on Sunday mornings.
Every time I drive by the Wilshire Ebell, I think of how amazing it was for "spiritual seekers" of that era----they could actually see Joseph Murphy and Neville every single week if they wanted to!
Neville's daughter, Victoria Goddard, lives in her family house on La Peer Dr. (her beloved dad died in 1972). A friend of mine who runs the Neville Yahoo forum told me she lives there alone and has for many years.
Last Wednesday afternoon I was driving down La Peer near Pico---on my way to Palms--- and said to myself....."I wish I could meet Neville's daughter." Right then, as I drove by the Goddard house--- I saw Victoria get out of her car and carry a bag of groceries to her front door.
Then she went inside the house.
She's tall, thin, has short white hair and is close to 70. She was born around 1941. I wanted to tell her how much I appreciate her dad's wisdom, but I've heard she's a "private person" and doesn't like enthusiastic Neville-ites (like me) bothering her! So I refrained.
Still, it was wonderful to see Neville's daughter. Neville is a legend in the metaphysical world. His books are still published and hundreds of his lectures are available on the internet.
The more I listen to (and read) Esther Hicks' words of wisdom, the more I understand and appreciate Neville, because they share the same beautiful teachings of LOA.
