From Arita: Drawers.

I love closets and drawers and nooks and crannies and all places for putting things away. Judging from this photo her mom took, my grandgal, Ellie, loves them, too. I'm in Philadelphia right now getting Ellie's new home ready for her and her family, painting and cleaning and just having a lot of fun.

The house is already home to Ellie's aunt and soon-to-be uncle. And there are two housemates. And Grandpa Trahan is coming tonight to enjoy the chaos that always precedes order.

This makes for quite a busy house, and a challenging situation when it comes to finding places for everyone to sleep. Ellie's beds won't even get here until a week after they do!

I've been sleeping on the futon in the studio, a favorite place in the heart of the house. The dog, Keiya, frequently joins me there at night. What the room doesn't have is a chest of drawers, and since I am staying for four weeks, I wished out loud for an improved idea over my three suitcases for storage.

My daughters came up with a new plan today that would put Grandpa in the studio and me in the parlor on the sofa. I love the idea. Then a got even happier. It seems that the entertainment center has big drawers that are normally used to store winter snuggies and throws. They are now mine for organizing my clothes! Hooray.

No desire is too casual or too insignificant for the forces of the universe to conspire in my behalf!
