From Patricia: Comforter
I don't use a "creation box," but I've always kept various files filled with ideas for creative endeavors. One of my files is called "home decorating." In it, I place pictures of beautiful household items that I love and ultimately intend to purchase. I get these pictures from a variety of sources, including magazines.
A couple of weeks ago, while browsing through a "woman's" magazine, I read a story about actress Jane Seymour and the beautiful household items that her company sells.
One photo showed Jane sitting on a bed adorned with a gorgeous blue comforter. It's exactly the kind of comforter---bed spread that I've been wanting for a long time. Although Jane's blue comforter costs over $500, I tore the picture out of the magazine and happily placed it in my home decorating file.
Last week at the Salvation Army thrift store, I encountered the beautiful blue comforter that I saw in the magazine---and intended to buy. It was in perfect condition, the exact color I wanted, and it only cost $7.99.
I bought it, washed it and it's now on my bed, bringing a joyful and lovely blue glow to my bedroom. And it's very comfortable, too!
