On new year's eve, my partner Chris asked me to get some snacks for our enjoyment while watching the ball drop. He asked for aged white cheddar cheese. I went to TJ's and selected a different type. Chris was disappointed, but no big deal.
On the 2nd, I stopped at Albertson's to get Chris root beer. I put two bottles in my basket and proceeded to checkout buying nothing else. When I got home, I took the bag to the kitchen, and emptied it on the counter. Out tumbled a piece of Boxing Day aged white cheddar cheese!!!! I felt chills and joy move through my body!! I checked the receipt and there was no charge for it.
This was so very exact and personal, for me, the very essence of a Surprise and Delight Moment!
